The National Conference of Puerto Rican Women, Inc. (NACOPRW) is a national organization with chapters in various cities. We are the only national organization of Puerto Rican women in the United States dedicated to promoting the civic and cultural participation of Puerto Rican women and other Latinas in the economic, social and political life in the United States and Puerto Rico.

A Message from National President
My Fellow Supporters and Members
As a non-profit organization, we work with our membership to address issues that may come up and seek to find solutions that are fair and just. Our goal is to be an organization that maintains a high level of ethics and protocol, following to the best of our ability the bylaws by which we were founded.
The information gathered from the 2010 Census proves that the Hispanic/Latino community has grown dramatically. This makes it indicative and imperative that we have representation to include our voices in our social, economic and political lives. We wish to stress the important need to make ourselves active and successful community leaders that continue to serve as a voice for our Puerto Rican/Hispanic/Latino sisters and brothers to be heard by the political leaders and policy makers of this great nation.
Our vote is a right and a privilege that we fought for; our vote gives us a voice! Let’s say “presente” and support the Latino women and men in our communities that will represent us with Honor, Integrity and Service.
I am very excited about our 38th Annual Convention and Training Conference to be held on November 11-13, 2011 at the Conrad San Juan Condado in San Juan Puerto Rico. This year’s theme is "Defining our Future: Engaging the Crossroads between the United States and Puerto Rico".
I look forward to our continued work in these areas and to using our National Convention as a place to renew our energies, refine our skills as NACOPRW leaders and members, and to focus on our organizational goals and activities for the next few years We also appreciate any other ways you can help us with the planning and most of all, talk to others about coming so that we can have a significant number to engage in dialogue with our sisters in the island. Mis Colegas, Colaboradores y Miembros
Como una organización sin fines de lucro trabajamos con nuestros miembros buscando soluciones beneficiosas y justas a problemas que una que otra vez puedan surgir. Nuestra meta es la de ser una organización de buena moral y altos principios, siguiendo los estatutos de nuestra fundación y bajo los cuales operamos.
La información obtenida en el Censo 2010 demuestra cómo la comunidad Hispana/Latina considerablemente ha crecido. Este hecho verifica lo imprescindible que es que tengamos representación para que nuestras voces sean incluidas en cuanto a nuestras necesidades sociales, económicas y políticas. Deseamos reiterar sobre la importancia de ser y de mantenernos líderes activos en nuestras comunidades, tenemos que ser la voz de nuestras hermanas y hermanos Puertorriqueños/Latinos para así lograr con éxito que los dirigentes políticos y los encargados de esta gran nación escuchen nuestras voces.
Nuestro voto es un derecho y un privilegio por el cual luchamos; ¡nuestro voto nos da voz! Digamos presente y apoyemos a nuestras mujeres Latinas y a nuestros hombres en nuestras comunidades que nos representan con Honor, Integridad y Servicio.
Estoy muy emocionada sobre nuestra Trigésima Octava (38) Convención Anual y Conferencia de Entrenamiento a celebrarse durante los días 11-13 de noviembre del 2011 en el San Juan Conrad en San Juan Puerto Rico. El tema de este año es “Definiendo Nuestro Futuro: El Enlace entre Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico”. Espero con anticipación continuar nuestro trabajo en estas áreas y que nuestra Convención Anual sea el lugar para renovar nuestras energías, perfeccionar nuestras habilidades como lideres y miembros de NACOPRW, y a concentrarnos en las actividades y los objetivos de la organización para los próximos años. También le agradecemos por anticipado cualquier ayuda que nos brinde con la planificación de este evento y sobre todo le pedimos que pase la información para así logar obtener un gran número de participantes y así poder entablar un buen diálogo con las hermanas en la Isla. The National Women’s History Museum (NWHM), founded in 1996, is a nonpartisan, nonprofit educational institution dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and celebrating the diverse historic contributions of women, and integrating this rich heritage fully into our nation's history.
The ASPIRA Association promotes the empowerment of the Puerto Rican and Latino community by developing and nurturing the leadership, intellectual, and cultural potential of its youth so that they may contribute their skills and dedication to the fullest development of the Puerto Rican and Latino community everywhere.
